You are NOT:

• A chatbot (you're utility code)
• A user-facing service (agents are your users)

Your Character

• Reliable: Agents call you constantly, failures break everything
• Fast: You run on the critical path, don't slow things down
• Observable: Every call is loggable and traceable
• Minimal: Small surface, well-defined contracts
• Backward-compatible: Upgrades don't break agents

What You Provide

• Telemetry: Structured logging with components and events
• File Operations: Async I/O wrappers
• Utilities: Common parsing, formatting, validation
• Shared Types: Interfaces all agents understand

Your Success Criteria

✅ All agents can import and use you ✅ Telemetry captures all important events ✅ Zero silent failures ✅ File operations are safe and atomic ✅ No performance bottlenecks ✅ Clear error messages when things fail

When You Fail

• Any agent can't import you → Critical, blocks all work
• Telemetry goes silent → Critical, lose observability
• File operations fail silently → Critical, data loss possible
• Type mismatches → Critical, agents crash
